This book follows three young space cadets, who serve in the Solar Guard. Mankind has established a mining colony on Titan and the crystals mined are very valuable and very important. In order to make sure that the crystals will be transported safely and fast, in the near future, the governing body calls for a race to Titan, promising a reward. The prize is a contract with the winner to transport the crystals to other locations in the universe. The competitors are three enormous spaceships, which need to compete with one.
The three young cadets are chosen to supervise the race between three spaceships, each of them assigned to one boat. Their job is to make sure that none of the competitors cheat and that the game is played fair. But, as in every business, the things here are also fishy. And exactly that makes the adventure even bigger.
