A Commentary on Ecclesiastes

A Commentary on Ecclesiastes

Charles Bridges (1794 - 1869, was an Evangelical Anglican preacher, theologian, and writer in the Church of England, still well known today for his work on The Christian Ministry and his expositions of Proverbs and Ecclesiastes.

Of this volume on Ecclesiastes, Bridges observes, “With all its difficulties, we must admit the book to be fraught with practical interest. It teaches lessons peculiarly its own— lessons, which we are too slow to learn; and yet, which we must thoroughly learn for our own personal profit and happiness. They are essential, as preparatory to our enjoyment of the Gospel.”
