The Cabinetmaker

The Cabinetmaker

'The Cabinetmaker', is a slightly unusual and sometimes gritty crime novel, based in Glasgow, which tells of a local cabinetmaker's fight for justice for his murdered son when the thugs who kill him walk free, and of his friendship with the book's narrator, one of the junior detectives on the case. It combines Glasgow gang culture, sloppy policing and amateur football with fine furniture making and some interesting detective work. The book does contain some strong language, some sleazy policing and a smattering of Glasgow slang.

James Oswald, best-selling Scottish crime author, tweeted that 'The Cabinetmaker' was 'well worth a look'.
