Todellisuudessa Der Chef oli fiktiota, brittiläisen propagandisti Thomas Sefton Delmerin luoma hahmo ja ainutlaatuinen ase sodassa. Peter Pomerantsev vertaa Delmeriltä saatuja oppeja taisteluunsa Putinin valheita vastaan. Tämä kirja onkin tarina Delmeristä sekä hänen modernista tutkijastaan, jotka yrittävät molemmat tahoillaan kääntää informaatiosodan suuntaa.Peter Pomerantsev (s. 1977) on Ukrainassa syntynyt ja Lontoossa asuva brittitoimittaja, tietokirjailija, tv-­tuottaja ja arvostettu propagandan tutkija. During the Russo-Japanese War of 1904-1905, Tadyoshi Sakurai was a junior officer in the Japanese army. He participated in the campaign against Port Arthur, and important Russian sea port in China. The Russo-Japanese War was a turning point in Japanese military might, being the first victory by an Asian power over a European power since the Mongol invasions of the 13th century.
