La Tribu Bodart-Richter

Dans le concert des familles d’écrivains qu’a connu la littérature belge de langue française, les Bodart-Richter occupent une place à part, qui méritait bien que la collection Archives du Futur leur consacre un volume tout aussi singulier. Car la « tribu », comme on les a appelés, ne peut s’envisager que sous la double articulation de l’« esprit de famille » et de la « famille d’esprit ». Tout en développant chacun des particularités propres, Marie-Thérèse Bodart (1909-1981), Roger Bodart (1910-1973) et Anne Richter (1939-2019) sont restés unis par un esprit de poésie et par une intense communion avec la nature, deux éléments essentiels qui ont inspiré le titre de cet ensemble.Les notions de diversité et d’unité président tout autant à la constitution de ce volume, qui offre un regard panaché sur les trajectoires littéraires des trois écrivains, à travers des contributions allant du témoignage à l’analyse de fond, en passant par l’évocation fine et l’étude panoramique. Nourris de nombreux documents d’archives déposés aux AML au sein du Fonds Roger et Marie-Thérèse Bodart et des Fonds Anne Richter et Florence Richter, les articles ici rassemblés montrent bien comment filiation et littérature se nouent et se dénouent. Florence Richter est journaliste et écrivaine. En tant que fille et petite-fille de la tribu, elle se charge ici de recueillir des voix expertes, qui portent un regard critique sur son héritage littéraire et familial. Elle est accompagnée dans ce travail par François Ost, juriste, philosophe, écrivain, vice-recteur honoraire et professeur émérite de l’Université Saint-Louis-Bruxelles. La collection Archives du Futur fut dirigée par Marc Quaghebeur de 1979 à 2018. Elle est actuellement dirigée par Laurence Boudart et publiée sous la responsabilité des Archives & Musée de la Littérature.
