Salvation's Reach

The Tanith First-And-Only embark on a desperate mission that could decide the fate of the Sabbat Worlds Crusade in the thirteenth book of this popular Imperial Guard series. The Ghosts of the Tanith First-and-Only have been away from the front line for too long. Listless, and hungry for action, they are offered a mission that perfectly suits their talents. The objective: the mysterious Salvation’s Reach, a remote and impenetrable stronghold concealing secrets that could change the course of the Sabbat Worlds campaign. But the proposed raid is so hazardous, it’s regarded as a suicide mission, and the Ghosts may have been in reserve for so long they’ve lost their edge. Haunted by spectres from the past and stalked by the Archenemy, Colonel-Commissar Gaunt and his Ghosts embark upon what could be their finest hour… or their final mission.

Flatland - A Romance of Many Dimensions

Flatland - A Romance of Many Dimensions

Flatland: A Romance of Many Dimensions is a satirical novella by the English schoolmaster Edwin Abbott Abbott, first published in 1884. It describes a two-dimensional world occupied by geometric figures, whereof women are simple line-segments, while men are polygons with various numbers of sides. The narrator is a square, who guides the reader through some of the implications of life in two dimensions. On the eve of the 3rd Millennium, the Square dreams about a visit to Lineland, a one-dimensional world, where he tries to convince the realm's monarch of a second dimension. The square is then visited by a three-dimensional sphere, which visits Flatland at the turn of each millennium to introduce a new apostle to the idea of a third dimension in the hopes of eventually educating the population of Flatland. This 19th century work can arguably be categorised as mathematical fiction as much as it can be regarded as science fiction. In common with the best science fiction it opens the reader's mind to new horizons.

A halál vége

A halál vége

The day that Gaunt became known as the Ghostmaker. This edition includes the additional short story ‘Of Their Lives in the Ruins of Their Cities’, where a deadly ambush in enemy territory forces the fractious Ghosts to rally around Gaunt and save his life – and their own existence. Read it Because The origins of Gaunt’s Ghosts are revealed. Tanith’s First and Only are put through the wringer as they overcome their home world’s destruction and battle the forces of Chaos. The story’s packed with action and suspense with a unique focus on single Imperial Guardsmen.
