Pilot Captain Salih Ekrem is a young air officer and one of the first Ottoman pilots. He lost his wife during the birth of his little daughter, Gülmelek. In February 1915 with the first assaults of the British fleet, Salih Ekrem entrusts Gülmelek to her grandmother’s care and leaves Istanbul to go to Gallipoli, flying on “one of the first planes”. One day, while engaged in an air reconnaissance mission, Salih rushes to the aid of a group of Turkish medical personnel, among which is a young nurse by the name of Nihal, when they are attacked by two English planes. Although heavily injured during the skirmish, he and Nurse Nihal manage to save a young boy named Fuat. An orphan, Fuat takes shelter under the wing of Nurse Nihal, Captain Dr. Ragıp, Nurse Erika and the captain of the Nusrat, Captain Hakkı. Seeing their own children reflected in the “Little Veteran” Fuat, everyone is doing their best to protect him. In the heat of the most violent and terrifying days of the war, Fuat will be the force that draws Captain Salih and Nihal closer together. When Nihal is required by her duties to return to Istanbul, this togetherness will blossom into a great love expressed in letters...

Zafer is still a bachelor and lives with his mom, Döndü, in a small town on the Aegean coast. Depressed by her son’s breakup with Mehtap, the prettiest girl in town, Döndü knows that the clock is ticking as far as his marriage prospects are concerned and resolves to do something about it. Zafer, meanwhile, is struggling with his reliably unreliable, no-frills boat on a blue cruise and it’s during this trip that things happen. Will these “things” turn out well for everyone? We’ll find out all together. Written by Ata Demirer, who also stars in the lead, this highly entertaining movie features additional performances from Tuvana Türkay, Salih Kalyon and Ülkü Duru. The ex-film extra Zafer decides to change his life, when his wife Arzu tells him she wants to leave him. Zafer quits his illegal activities to realize a film project entitled “SUMMITS: THE END OF EVIL” that has been waiting since the 1970s, in order to win back his family and life. He plans to have both Arzu, who wants to become an actress, and the popular TV series star Boğaç Bora in his film. With a budget of three or four hundred thousand Turkish lira, an outdated screenplay, and a crew of limited skills, Zafer heads off on an adventure full of humor, fun, and emotion. He faces the difficulties of making a movie as well as the problems caused by his old criminal life in DVD pirating. Whether or not the money Zafer has found to finance the film comes from his old illegal business and the question, if he and Arzu will become a happy couple again, will pique the curiosity of the audience – “coming soon”.

The Butterfly's Dream (Kelebe?in Rüyas?)

1941, Zonguldak, Turkey. Under the heavy burden of World War II, due to the Obligation Law, every male between the ages 15 - 65 within Zonguldak and the adjacent towns has been obligated to work in the mines. In the center of this turmoil, there are two poets, early in their twenties: Muzaffer Tayyip Uslu and Rüştü Onur. Their biggest dream is to be published in the Varlık literary magazine and become famous. Meanwhile, Behçet Necatigil, literature teacher of the Zonguldak Çelikel High School is the only person that is mentoring, understanding and befriending them. When they see Suzan, daughter of Zikri, the prominent rich businessman of the town, her beauty mesmerized young poets. They make a bet on her: Both will be writing a poem and have her read them. Depending on whose poem Suzan likes the most; the other would be stepping away.
