“Ravaged with You” follows Whiskey Distillery owner & Nikki Stark’s lifesaver), Red Cooper, as he discovers his best friend Mel’s suicidal body. Red has a lot of secrets from his past and sometimes secrets come back to haunt you. Paralegal Jo is Mel’s widow and partial owner in the distillery with the boys. She doesn’t know all of Red’s secrets, and certainly not Mel’s when she learns of his death. Can Jo survive the past secrets that have come to haunt Red and figure out what happened to her husband in the mean time? There’s a lot of spy espionage in this thriller along with a very sassy heroine and a man who wants to keep the past buried. Warning Trigger: There is mention and description of sexual abuse & trafficking. 4/5 stars.

Now, years later, Mel is dead and the pair find themselves working together to figure out why he was murdered before the killer comes for them. Lots of danger & suspense keep the action moving as Red & Jo track the killer and rediscover their passion for each other.

A fast paced story filled with romance and mystery. Julie Kenner has a gift for being creative and perceptive. This book had me questioning everything and I loved each moment of it.

It’s always a comfortable place in the Stark world and this was no different. Even though the subject matter is about the unthinkable, Red’s story is what makes him the man that he is. Along with his long and unresolved feelings for Jo. The same with Jo and her feelings for Red. What would have happened if they had acted on them years ago? Sometimes, things happen when they are supposed to. This was an entertaining read with characters that you love to see over and over again.

After what appears to be a suicide quickly turns into a race against time for Red and Jo to solve a murder with some help from Stark Security. This book puts the reader on edge from beginning to end…with mystery, action, chemistry and a HEA.
