The Miracle of Mindfulness

The Miracle of Mindfulness

In this beautiful and lucid guide, Zen master Thich Nhat Hanh offers gentle anecdotes and practical exercise as a means of learning the skills of mindfulness--being awake and fully aware. From washing the dishes to answering the phone to peeling an orange, he reminds us that each moment holds within it an opportunity to work toward greater self-understanding and peacefulness.

  • Mindfulness Journey

This book literally changed my life and my approach to things. It’s a very great starter to someone starting on their mindfulness journey. It’ll give you a lot of insights on certain aspects of the world not talked about enough. Initially certain aspects of the book rarely makes sense but my advise would be to keep been open minded and halfway through you’ll start getting a lot of things been explained very well.

  • A snooze

The first of Thich's books to actually be...boring. Sure, the man is a genius and there were many highlightable quotes, but I wish I didn't spend the money on this. Instead I wish I bought his excellent children's book Is Nothing Something?

  • Life-changing

The Miracle of Mindfulness is a truly life changing book. In simple and straightforward terms, the author describes the basics of meditation, leading to true relaxation. Although based on Buddhist tradition, this book is useful to all faiths and belief backgrounds. This is now a rare "cornerstone" book in my personal library.
