I always assume that the book will be better than the show/ movie, but not in this case. The series is actually pretty bad, has a lot of spelling and grammatical errors, plot holes and the characters are not well developed. The show is much better

a lot of differences between the show and books, but over all you can really picture everything coming to life! i didn’t want to give up the vampire diaries so i started reading the books and it gave me another picture of what the show set out to do!! i love it!
