Role of Explainable Artificial Intelligence in E-Commerce

The technological boom has provided consumers with endless choices, removing the hindrance of time and place. Understanding the dynamic and competitive business environment, marketers know they need to reinforce indestructible customer experience with the support of algorithmic configurations to minimize human intrusion. World Wide Web (WWW) and online marketing have changed the way of conducting business; with artificial intelligence (AI), business houses can furnish a customized experience to fulfil the perceived expectation of the customer.Artificial intelligence bridges the gap between business and prospective clients, provides enormous amounts of information, prompts grievance redressal system, and further complements the client’s preference. The opportunities online marketing offers with the blend of artificial intelligence tools like chatbots, recommenders, virtual assistance, and interactive voice recognition create improved brand awareness, better customer relationship marketing, and personalized product modification.Explainable AI provides the subsequent arena of human–machine collaboration, which will complement and support marketers and people so that they can make better, faster, and more accurate decisions. According to PwC’s report on Explainable AI(XAI), AI will have $15.7 trillion of opportunity by 2030. However, as AI tools become more advanced, more computations are done in a “black box” that humans can hardly comprehend. But the rise of AI in business for actionable insights also poses the following questions: How can marketers know and trust the reasoning behind why an AI system is making recommendations for action? What are the root causes and steering factors? Thus, transparency, trust, and a good understanding of expected business outcomes are increasingly demanded.

Get in Gear

Get in Gear

Get in Gear: The Seven Gears that Drive Strategy to Results (978-0-367-47149-1, 335422)Shelving Guide: Business and Management/Leadership/StrategyOnly 10% to 25% of organizations get it right when it comes to achieving the expected results from their strategic planning. This means 75% to 90% of them are leaving results on the table and wasting their time on things that don’t matter. Almost a decade ago, a major steel manufacturer approached Sean Ryan and his team to help them think through how to better convert strategy to results. This was the catalyst for the seven gears that translate strategy to results found in Strategy-Execution-Results (SXR™).Why Gears? Gears transmit energy. The more aligned they are and the less friction in their chain, the better they function. Leaders can easily identify the gear creating the most friction and then take action to better align that gear with the strategy generating better results. This creates momentum to improve the alignment and performance of other gears. This approach also emphasizes the ways everyone in the organization has some influence over every gear. Based on Sean Ryan’s consulting and training with organizations from start-ups to the Fortune 100, he’s found that these performance gears drive better results. You’ll employ them to align your goals with your strategy, create visible scorecards to know whether or not you’re on track, and identify the critical behaviors and actions that will drive performance.Readers will use this book to point their efforts toward getting meaningful results from their strategy. As noted in the Harvard Business Review: "The prize for closing the strategy-performance gap is huge: increasing performance by at least 50% for most organizations." After moving beyond their initial amazement of just how misaligned they were, they’ll be able to quickly apply the seven gears to sell better and more, drive down costs, improve quality and safety, and recruit talent for the future. In addition, there’s nothing in this book that has not been applied in actual business settings. While companies could use the SXR™ Framework to overhaul their organization top to bottom, they’ll also appreciate that they don’t have to change everything at once to make progress. Upon understanding each of the gears and how to create Follow-up and Follow-through, they’ll be able to improve any gear to start seeing strategic outcomes. You’ve got it in Gear, now Stay in Gear. The Art of Wonk, Compleat

The Art of Wonk, Compleat

How and Why Successful Entrepreneurs Become What They Are ...and Then Get Everything They WantIf you’re picking this book up fresh, consider that you’ve really stepped in something.(And it's only gotten worse with this compleat version.)Over 5 decades of research and writing several dozen books wound us up here, polishing up one very unique question. It was the one thing I hadn’t expected to need an answer: why winners think and believe as they do.Everything else before this answered how. We’ve covered how the bulk of humanity is hard-wired to follow their Hero’s Journey and buy all the stuff that they think they need. Because they are relying on the world around them to learn the lessons they feel they need.We compared the mind of the winners as a Winner’s Circle, to contrast it with the Hero’s Journey that the Also-rans follow (also a circle.) The Also-rans (95 percent of all humanity) feel they need to earn their lessons by "journeying" through their lives. Winners don’t feel that need at all.In this book, we’ll call the winners “Wonks.” Because they figure things out. They test everything they experience and challenge all the data they encounter for workability. They are constantly looking at every problem as an opportunity. The Also-rans expect the world to give them their next lesson. The Wonks are creating a new world based on what they find in front of them.I’d be stupid to say once again that I think this is the last in this series of books. What I do know is that it isn’t linear from here on out. It's exponential. What I’ve uncovered and am about to tell you leads right back to a complete new world with infinite possibilities.Far from tying up loose ends, it opens massive flood gates of possibilities. That’s the world you just inherited by opening this book.Lucky you.But let me first tell you the underlying secret to how Wonks ended up ruling the world...(From the Introduction)I've collected all 7 books into a single volume for your use. 5 decades of study and thousands of hours of research boiled down into one huge but entertaining volume, too heavy to even throw across the room.Again: Lucky you...Get Your Copy Now.

Ujaala Borderline General Insurance Company Limited

Ujaala Borderline General Insurance Company Limited

In the last two years Ujaala Borderline had lost two key accounts and lost in the bidding process for a third large account. Ujaala Borderline's CEO and Executive VP Corporate Sales (Indian and MNC business) had just left a meeting with the firm's largest client - Sweekar Iron and Steel. Sweekar's CEO had informed them that he was taking his firm's business from Ujaala Borderline and going with another provider. The CEO had pointed out several servicing issues that had occurred over the last two years and considered that these issues had been ignored. First, there were errors in policies and several problems with delivery. Second, because of Ujaala Borderline's many organizational changes, managers at Sweekar were required to interact with several Ujaala Borderline staff - this issue was compounded by the claim from each Ujaala Borderline staff member that they owned the Sweekar account. Third, there were several mistakes in quotes. Fourth, Sweekar had three different relationship managers in four years because of the high staff turnover at Ujaala Borderline. Finally, a recent claim had not been settled to Sweekar's satisfaction. As the CEO left the meeting, he wondered what had happened. He had recently been profiled in a national newspaper as the CEO of the leading general insurer in India but now felt that he was embroiled in changes that he knew he had created. As he was thinking about the meeting with Sweekar's CEO and recent events he almost collided with an auto rickshaw. If Dhirender had not shouted a warning there probably would have been a collision. The CEO now realized that Ujaala Borderline had many problems and he knew that he had to act quickly and decisively to turn things around or else his job was at risk.

Power and Influence

Power and Influence

In today's complex work world, things no longer get done simply because someone issues an order and someone else follows it.Most of us work in socially intricate organizations where we need the help not only of subordinates but of colleagues, superiors, and outsiders to accomplish our goals. This often leaves us in a "power gap" because we must depend on people over whom we have little or no explicit control. This is a book about how to bridge that gap: how to exercise the power and influence you need to get things done through others when your responsibilities exceed your formal authority.Full of original ideas and expert insights about how organizations—and the people in them—function, Power and Influence goes further, demonstrating that lower-level personnel also need strong leadership skills and interpersonal know-how to perform well.Kotter shows how you can develop sufficient resources of "unofficial" power and influence to achieve goals, steer clear of conflicts, foster creative team behavior, and gain the cooperation and support you need from subordinates, coworkers, superiors—even people outside your department or organization. He also shows how you can avoid the twin traps of naivete and cynicism when dealing with power relationships, and how to use your power without abusing it.Power and Influence is essential for top managers who need to overcome the infighting, foot-dragging, and politicking that can destroy both morale and profits; for middle managers who don't want their careers sidetracked by unproductive power struggles; for professionals hindered by bureaucratic obstacles and deadline delays; and for staff workers who have to "manage the boss."This is not a book for those who want to "grab" power for their own ends. But if you'd like to create smooth, responsive working relationships and increase your personal effectiveness on the job, Kotter can show you how—and make the dynamics of power work for you instead of against you.

Executive Talent

Executive Talent

This brilliant, up-to-date compendium argues that the most successful factor in company life is good people: individuals who are capable, competent, and savvy. Can corporate life attract such people? Ginzberg argues that despite demographic dislocations and the challenges to the work ethic, the answer to this question is a loud yes. In Executive Talent, Ginzberg and his colleagues show how to attract, train, and promote a superior work force, and how to take advantage of the different values in today's employees.Over 25 percent of the population currently graduates from a senior college, and the number going for advanced degrees is climbing. Blacks and Hispanics together will soon account for one in every four new native-born job applicants. Women are now nearly as prevalent in the work force as men. Today's employees place more emphasis on family and leisure, and less on company loyalty. In the face of these critical changes, companies can no longer continue with the same human resource policies. Ginzberg offers new approaches to attract and retain superior talent. In Executive Talent, Ginzberg brings together top academics and high level executives to explore the new world of work. They discuss coming trends and changes that will reshape the talent pool, how these shifts will impact the individual company, and ways to develop and implement a human resource strategy to meet the challenging work force of the future.
