Prince Asoka (Shahrukh Khan), heir to the Magadha Kingdom, bowing to his mother's (Shilpa Mehta) demand forsakes his princely status and goes to live in the wild for awhile. There he meets and falls in love with Kaurwaki (Kareena Kapoor). He identifies himself as Pawan, not wanting to disclose his identity yet. asoka has to return to Magadha, but when he returns to find and wed Kaurwaki, he is told by Bheema (Rahul Dev) that Kaurwaki and her brother Arya have been killed. Devastated asoka returns home. On the way home he is attacked and Devi (Hrishitaa Bhatt), of the Buddhist faith rescues him and tends to him till he gets well. As a result, Devi's marriage to her groom is cancelled. asoka weds her and brings her to Magadha, only to be told by his father that since Devi is not of the same race as he, she cannot be welcomed. asoka leaves with Devi and lives in Ujjaini. Soon Devi gets pregnant, and this arouses jealously and hatred amongst asoka's step-brothers. As a result they plot to kill Devi, however, their plans are foiled by asoka's mother, who is killed. Asoka swears to avenge his mother's death by killing his step-brothers one by one, except for one, who has led to Kalinga. asoka asks the ruler of Kalings to turn over his step-brother to him, and they refuse. asoka swears to raze Kalinga to the ground. asoka is unstoppable. Even his close friend, Virat (Danny Denzongpa), too, is unable to stop asoka. asoka proceeds to war, little knowing that the queen of Kalinga is none other than Kaurwaki, who is still alive.

Badmashiyaan

Badmashiyaan is a 2015 Hindi romantic comedy film. The film is about a cafe owner Dev, whose girlfriend Nari left him the night he meant to propose to her. Months later, he meets Palak, a young woman living next door, during a bank hold-up. Dev’s friend Pinkesh, a private investigator, has been trying to track down Nari for him. He finds that she is living with Don Jassi, a reformed gangster.

Kanji Lalji Mehta (Paresh Rawal), a middle-class atheist Hindu owns a shop of Hindu idols and antiques in Chor Bazaar, Mumbai. He is cursed by Siddheshwar Maharaj when he stopped his son from playing dahi handi. A low-intensity earthquake hits the city, and Kanji's shop is the only shop that is destroyed. Next day at the insurance office, Kanji and his neighbour-assistant Mahadev learn that the disaster claim does not cover any damage caused by natural calamities classified under 'Act of God'. Running out of options, Kanji decides to file a lawsuit against God.

A school-teacher in India sires a son named Gurukant, but is disappointed as the child fails to live up to his high expectations. When Gurukant grows up, he is unable to secure decent employment in India, so finds a way to go to Turkey, where he finds employment. When he returns back to India, he wants to start his own business, but is unable to do so, as he does not have enough money. So he does some research, gets to meet Sujata, the daughter of a wealthy man named Jignesh, and marries her. After the marriage, Gurukant finds out that Sujata has a dark past, but he ignores this - for his one motive is to be to rise in the eyes of his father - and get rich.

Don Quixote (Amrish Puri) is a gangster based in Bombay, India. His dream is to take control of India, and sell it at well-attended and much publicized auction. In order to fulfill this dream, he recruits five men - all resembling the President of India, and asks them to undergo vigorous training in order to take over as the President. That done, he selects one of them, Nathuram, eliminates the other four, and arranges the kidnapping of the President, with success. He then implants Nathuram as the President - and the stage is set for the biggest auction in Earth's history - when India will be auctioned to the highest bidder.

Om Shanti Om

Om Prakash Makhija is a junior artiste in the film industry. He yearns to be a top star like Shantipriya, whom he admires and loves. One day, Om Prakash saves Shantipriya’s life while shooting for a film. Shantipriya feels obliged towards him. Top film producer Mukesh Mehra is married to Shantipriya but he is not prepared to go public with the marriage. When she tells him that she is carrying his child, he locks her in a studio and sets it on fire. Om Prakash is in the studio compound and all his efforts to save Shantipriya are futile. He dies thereafter. Shantipriya also breathes her last in the fire. On the same day Om Prakash expires in the hospital, a top star’s wife delivers a baby boy in the maternity ward of the same hospital. The baby boy, Om Kapoor, grows up to become a top star. As time passes, Om Kapoor gets visions of his past life till it is clear that he is Om Prakash Makhija reborn. Thirty years after Om Prakash and Shantipriya’s deaths, producer Mukesh – now called Mike because of his base having shifted to Hollywood – resurfaces. Om now seeks revenge on Mike by planning a film with him.

An agitated Balli rebelled and escaped the fort. Balli then began the adventurous journey to the outside world, where many of his father’s old confidants awaited the arrival of the next Shamshera. With the help of them and Sona, they started looting the arrogant upper caste of Kaza to accumulate the price of their tribe’s freedom. As matters worsen, the British government assigned an officer, Freddy Young, to deal with the case. Freddy was a fierce and loyal officer yet a compassionate man. As he digs deeper into the history of the Khameran tribe, he realises the actual cause of their fight. In the meantime, Balli and the gang continue to accumulate the gold required for their freedom. But things did not go as planned. Lost and distraught, only one option remains with Balli. He must prove his worth to be the true Shamshera who can win the freedom of his people back.

Banerjee executes this sensitive story with tenderness and care. Nawazuddin Siddiqui is terrific in the lead-role, while Sadashiv Amrapurkar is delightful.
