The film stars Varun Dhawan in a double role as Raja and Prem with Jacqueline Fernandez and Taapsee Pannu in a never seen before avatar. The plotline of the film being directed by the master of comedies, David Dhawan, promises Double The Fun, Double The Entertainment. The laugh riot is set in Mumbai and London, and the twins create confusion in both these worlds only to save the day in the end.

Rani, a Punjabi girl, belongs to a conservative family. Two days before her wedding, her fiancé Vijay refuses to marry her. She decides to take control of her life and goes alone on her pre-booked honeymoon to visit her favorite places, Paris and Amsterdam. In Paris, she meets Vijayalakshmi, who becomes her friend and confidante and shows her around Paris. Once while shopping, Rani tries out what she considers to be a revealing outfit and accidentally sends a selfie of her in it to Vijay instead of Vijayalakshmi. The selfie prompts Vijay to begin searching for her. Later in Amsterdam, she gets horrified to know her room is shared with three guys. The four become good friends and explore the city. Rani’s character gains self confidence. Eventually, Vijay apologizes and asks her to reconsider the relationship, but in vain. Upon returning to India, she meets up with Vijay at his house. She simply hands him her engagement ring and thanks him. Rani leaves his house relieved and relaxed.

Lucknow Central

Kishen Mohan Girhotra (Farhan Akhtar) is a young man who belongs to Moradabad, a city in Uttar Pradesh. One fateful day, Kishen gets accused of murder which lands him in Lucknow Central Jail where he's awaiting his High Court trial for a death penalty. Gayatri Kashyap (Diana Penty), a diligent NGO worker, is compelled to form a "Band of Prisoners" for the band competition which is to be held in the dreaded jail of 'Lucknow Central' that year and this is how Kishen's and her paths cross. Kishen befriends four other inmates, namely Dikkat Ansari, Victor Chattopadhyay, Purushottam Pandit, Parminder Trehan and convinces them to join the band. The dramatic narrative of Lucknow Central portrays how Kishen's life progresses in jail and how music becomes an intricate part of not only his journey, but the rest of the band's as well.

Inayat Khan is a police officer, responsible for the security of Kashmir.
