Le dimanche, la cour nous appartenait. Ma mère a été mon institutrice. Je suis resté un an dans sa classe et ce n’est pas un bon souvenir. Elle se croyait obligée d’être plus sévère avec moi puisque j’étais son fils. Mais c’était une bonne enseignante, comme me l’ont assuré certains de ses élèves que j’ai revus depuis. Pendant près d’un an, Pierre Bergé s’est confié à Joëlle Gayot. Parce que la parole s’envole mais que les écrits restent, ils ont décidé de faire ce livre.
