Insight - Transworld Snowboarding

Insight - Transworld Snowboarding

A different take on the traditional snowboard movie, TransWorld SNOWboarding’s sixth feature film delivers heavy action and exposes the personality behind it. Each rider, crew, and location featured in Insight was chosen because of their profoundly positive effect on snowboarding—some in the past, some predictably in the future, and all in the present. Victor De Le Rue sought exploration above all else—both geographically and in terms of progression. The chance to take his first major leap without a contest bib is what appealed to Red Gerard. Jason Robinson’s evolutionary season was facilitated by his tiny home on wheels. High-flying Frenchman Victor Daviet had a winter that will put him on the global snowboarding radar once the cloud of snow trailing him has settled. For Elias Elhardt, Insight offered the opportunity for him to film high caliber freestyle riding near Innsbruck, Austria, where he resides. Like Elhardt, Josh Dirksen too sought terrain within close proximity of his home, focusing specifically on the windlips that form in the volcanic ranges just outside Bend, Oregon. Always operating on his own terms, Dylan Alito raucously roamed between Colorado and Finland.

2022 World Series Champions: Houston Astros

2022 World Series Champions: Houston Astros

"Welcome to Space City, home of the Houston Astros™ – your 2022 World Series® champions! The Astros defeated the Philadelphia Phillies™ in six games after winning 106 regular season games and sweeping through their first two rounds of Postseason™ play.Perennial Fall Classic™ contenders, the Astros looked to Level Up in 2022 after narrowly missing a championship in 2021. The first move was to bring back legendary Manager Dusty Baker, who perfectly understood how to mix incredible instincts and experience with the Astros undeniably successful analytical approach. Then came bolstering the roster. Justin Verlander dominated in his return to an already stellar rotation after missing most of the previous two seasons with an injury, and their rookie shortstop Jeremy Peña flashed brilliance during his inaugural campaign. These key returns and additions propelled the rock-solid foundation of Jose Altuve, Yordan Alvarez, Alex Bregman, Ryan Pressly, Kyle Tucker, and Framber Valdez. The Astros would deliver one of the finest seasons in MLB® history, then methodically dismantle the Seattle Mariners™ in the ALDS™ and the New York Yankees™ in the ALCS™. An immaculate 7-0 run to start the Postseason set up a showdown with the red-hot, hard-hitting Philadelphia Phillies. Philadelphia would jump out to a 2 games to 1 lead, but the Astros lifted off behind a stellar bullpen that posted the lowest ERA in Postseason history; the second no-hitter in World Series history; and sensational rockets off the bats of Alvarez, Bregman, Tucker, and Peña, who claimed Willie Mays World Series MVP honors. With the Game 6 victory at Minute Maid Park™, the World Series was won in front of the home crowd for the first time since 2013. Baker earned his first World Series ring as manager, and the city of Houston and its Astros fans celebrated with an out of this world parade."

Volcom: True to This

Volcom: True to This

When Volcom was founded in 1991, it was the first company to combine skateboarding, surfing and snowboarding under one brand from its inception. This way of life influenced the anti-establishment style and attitude that defined a generation. The cultural phenomenon was best captured when Volcom released "Alive We Ride" in 1993: a film documenting the raw excitement and spontaneous creativity inherent to the lifestyle. Twenty-one years later, with the release of "True To This", Volcom again captures the energy and artistry of board-riding in its purest forms. Shot all around the world and showcasing iconic athletes, "True To This" is a tribute to the movement that inspired a generation and the people and places that embody that spirit today.
